Norfolk Southern raises quarterly dividend

NORFOLK, Va., Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Norfolk Southern Corporation (NYSE: NSC) announced that its Board of Directors today voted to increase the regular quarterly dividend on the company's common stock by 4 percent, or 2 cents per share, from 52 to 54 cents per share.

The increased dividend is payable on March 10 to stockholders of record on Feb. 7. Since its inception in 1982, Norfolk Southern has paid dividends on its common stock for 126 consecutive quarters.
